Revival

“For the love of Christ compels us”  II Cor 5:14

Paul said, the “love of Christ compels me, that if one died for all, then we were all dead”  Therefore, we all need Jesus!
Equipping, preparing yourself is key to revival, we must have a burden-a desire, a true intercessory prayer burden for souls to be saved.

“…For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more”  -Luke 12:48

If God truly has you in mind to bring souls into His kingdom, then you’d better get your heart right and be ready to honour Him by presenting yourself totally to Him!
Everything must be in place including the timing.  Ready, expecting a move of God and listening to the Holy Spirit.

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands”  II Timothy 1:6

“For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established”  Romans 1:11

This last day outpouring will include manifestations of God’s power so tremendous that it will be without precedent.
Get ready!

God Leads through Leaders

January 17

God Leads through Leaders

Pastors are the ones who “feed” the church, they are in charge of His household.  The “meals” pastors prepare must be meals for royalty.  Time, effort, love and prayers must go into each “meal”.   Pastors “tend” the flock, they watch out for sickness, injury, hurts in the flock.  The more a pastor loves Jesus, the more compassion he will have for the people of God.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  Romans 12:1-2
Our minds must be renewed to be able to know God’s will.  Many Christians are trying to know God’s will with unrenewed minds!  That is nothing but humanism.  Ephesians 4 talks about “laying aside” your old life and being renewed in your mind.  Prophesy is great, we need direction.  A person who is continually “looking for a word” shows immaturity.  God wants us to grow in faith and mature.  Do you have the “mind of Christ”?  The more you have it, the less you will need “a fresh word” from others.
Your mind is a precious thing, your pastor must help guard that!  Christians going to psychologists and psychiatrists is a sign of the backslidden state of the pastors anointing!  Anyone who is called a “leader” who advises a Christian to see a psychologists or a psychiatrists should admit He’s backslidden and quit!    Someone who is dying is not the one you need to rescue you!
Every problem is meant to be taken directly to the cross.  The truth sets us free.  The number one truth we must see is that Jesus is the answer to any and all your problems!  What a blasphemy to turn God’s people over to the world’s sewer system for help!  We cannot turn these people away.  Is He REALLY the same yesterday, today and forever?

Tried in the Fire

Tried in the Fire

“Flesh is the glue which causes demons to attach themselves to a person.  Some of us are running on air rather than Spirit”   -Bud McDonald

God wants to unite Himself with you, He desires true unity with each one of us.  however, gold and dross (impurities) don’t mix.  The greatest impurity is self.  Self is actually the source of all defilement!
God desires purity and innocence but self resists both!
The purity of our soul is in direct proportion to the death of self.
Isaiah 48:10  “Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.”
Fire and only fire purifies gold, but fire also consumes-it burns away all that is earthly.
I Cor 3:13 “each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.”
Paul is saying that we can miss God so badly that all our works can be burned totally and yet we could still be saved…How?
Maybe you never questioned those who led you even though they might have missed God’s plan for the whole church!
Maybe there is no motivation, some churches preach that salvation is the “end” rather than the “beginning”.
Listen:  You personally will never get motivated enough or zealous enough to go and jump into the furnace to have your “dross” removed.
So how does God do it?  After all, you have a free will!

  • Go back to the day you got saved
  • You surrendered yourself to Him
  • You said, “Thy will be done”

The key is to surrender, to give your all to Him
Gal 5:16  “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

Press In

January 15

Press In

Luke 16:16   “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.”
The Amplified version says “..and everyone strives violently to go in..”
In verse 17, Jesus says the law will be fulfilled.
You cannot get into God’s Kingdom by just looking good in front of people!
Our focus must be right.  We must stop looking on the outward appearance and begin to “see” as God sees.

How do we “press in”?
We must be fervent.  Matthew 11:12 “..the violent take it by force”
Lukewarmness must be viewed as God views it, as an abomination.
Revelation 3:16 “..I will vomit you out of my mouth”
If you are “cold” you will be chastised-Awakened!
If you are “hot” God’s presence is continually with you.
Spiritual slackness is your worst enemy.
We must lay aside hypocrisy.  In I Peter 2:1 Hypocrisy is another word for “actor”.
Today’s church world is an actor’s paradise!
The presence of God and the gifts of the Spirit are pulling back the curtains on hypocrites.
By keeping your body in subjection to your spirit.
Matthew 26:41 “…the Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Keeping your body in subjection means that your body does what your spirit wants it to!

The Heavenly Vision, Part 3

The Heavenly Vision, Part 3

Proverbs 29:18  “Where there is no vision, the people perish”

Those who believe God’s vision are “in-faith” and will be blessed.  Those who do not will receive no reward.

So it’s time to:

  • Cast down imaginations
  • Get tuned in to God
  • Stay in His Word
  • Listen to what the Spirit is saying to the church
  • Spend time practicing His presence and hearing His voice

I Samuel 3:1  “…and the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision”

Vision means divine revelation.
Vision is God’s plan revealed to His people or ministries.
It means direction, comfort and guidance only when it is received.
It is encouragement, it gives us a steadfastness during adversity and trials

Where would us Gentiles be if Paul had not believed the word of the Lord?

Acts 9:15  “…Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel”

The Heavenly Vision, Part 2

The Heavenly Vision, Part 2

Proverbs 29:18  “Where there is no vision, the people perish”

Vision..Perception, to perceive, revelation.  God’s plan must be perceived, revealed to be planted in our hearts.
“…the people perish”  Exposed, set at naught, uncovered.
They are put in danger, they’ll go, but with no direction, they’ll be devoured by the enemy.
Every church with no vision eventually dies.
Vision for a church comes as we are obedient to everything we have already been given.  Maybe nursing home, youth outreach or visiting the sick.
Church vision is usually very general because we must flow together.  Some won’t catch it as quickly as others.
Future prophetic vision must be allowed time to come to fruition.  For example, don’t send three prophetic teams to Africa next week just because God said some would go.
One of the main reasons God gives vision is so we can prepare ourselves for His service properly.
Humility is a prerequisite to vision, a local church cannot follow God’s true vision, His will without unity.  There’s no unity without humility.
A humble person does not have to add to or take away from what God speaks to His people.
Those who add to what God says have corrupted His word and made it a lie.
We must have a clear word from God, not man’s opinions.
VISION is imparted by the Holy Spirit.  Obeying it should be our objective.

We must be faithful to what God speaks, not… “disobedient to the heavenly vision”

The Heavenly Vision, Part 1

The Heavenly Vision, Part 1

Acts 26:19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision”
God gives vision to His people, we can either obey or be disobedient to it.
II Peter 1:10  “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble”
Our Lord has a master-plan for each saint.  Our obligation is to be diligent (not lazy or slothful) to yield to His plan for us.
The will of God for you includes room to grow, God puts us through uncomfortable, painful, tight places to cause us to grow-to trust Him more.
Vision is for young (youth) and old.
For young people, “Let no man despise thy youth”   Let no one discourage you by implying, insinuating or complaining that you’re not old enough!
For the rest of us, here’s an example.  A friend of ours from Washington State was called to be a missionary at 68 years of age!
Be diligent to hear from God.  Don’t change anything, any plan any job or ministry unless God says so!  (obviously unless it’s sinful)
Your biggest enemy apart from “self” could be:

  • Family.  (the natural)
  • “Church” religious people, jealousy, envy, etc.
  • Lack of openness to see God’s true plan.

The vision is always bigger than your perception of it.
For example, the carpet layer who prayed over James Robinson to receive the Holy Spirit probably thought his “vision” was small.  How could he know that ministry would reach tens of thousands?
